Federica Zama – M’ama

About

Born in Faenza on September 10, 1985, Federica Zama studied architecture at Central Saint Martins in London and later specialized in product design at ISIA in Faenza.

After ten years of professional experience as an interior designer in London, she returned to Italy and, in 2021, opened M’ama Interni + in Faenza.

In 2023, she launched M’ama Edizioni, a brand with a strong and distinctive personality. Her creations are crafted using original materials and techniques that are never repeated. Often, her pieces are not only designed by her, but also entirely handmade—either by herself or in collaboration with artisan-artists.

The experience with Eleit

We share the same mission with Eleit.it: to promote cutting-edge design, them in the world of food, me in the home in general. In all my creations, I love to surprise, change perspectives, and study new materials, so I was thrilled by the opportunity to collaborate with Eleit and try my hand at designing and creating a small object for the table, very different from the home furnishings I usually work with. The collaboration of food expert and gastronomic journalist Martina Liverani added value to the project, as she is a great connoisseur of everything related to food and the table and all the trends concerning “foodstuffs” and “human beings.”

As a designer, I think the result is an object that is not only functional but also decorative and full of character: to be used on the table as needed and displayed as a piece of furniture.
